Blaise Matuidi wants to quit PSG for England, according to Le Parisien

According to this morning’s edition of Le Parisien, PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi want to quit the capital club at the end of the season in order to join a Premier League team.

At the moment, the player has not asked to leave PSG but the club is hypothetically preparing for an eventual departure, according to the newspaper report.

PSG remain firmly against any attempted departure on Blaise Matuidi’s side and the player’s agent Mino Raiola has indicated that at the moment the player is not thinking of leaving.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal were all very interested in signing the player when it appeared as if he might not extend his contract with PSG this time last year, but the Premier League sides were poorly informed about the player’s situation at that time. He was unable to sign a new contract because of a dispute between Matuidi’s current and former agents and not because he didn’t wish to remain with the Ligue 1 champions.
