Chelsea and Monaco are expected to continue talks this week over the possible transfer of Radamel Falcao, a source close to the Principality club has told Get French Football News.
Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev has previously already met Valencia and Juventus about possibly selling them the Colombian, but Jorge Mendes has convinced José Mourinho that a Costa-Falcao pairing would be desirable for the Premier League side next season.
Monaco’s initial aim is to recoup at least €35m for the player, a fee that sources contacted by Get French Football News last night believe is “realistic… even a good deal for the buying club”. However, Europe’s elite are aware of Monaco’s desperation to sell the former Manchester United loanee and the aforementioned fee seems unrealistic at the time of writing.
More undoubtedly to follow.
