One of the most hotly rated French football youngsters Dayot Upamecano finalised his future today after signing a three year deal with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
The Austrian side, under the advice of Gerard Houllier, have paid €2.2m for the player from Ligue 2 side Valenciennes. Upamecano had agreed personal terms with Manchester United, but the Red Devils refused to match Red Bull’s offer. Manchester City, Arsenal and Marseille were all also interested in the French youth international central defender.
