With reports emerging from L’Equipe today, that Liverpool are set to bring Belgium striker Divock Origi to the club this January rather than July, Belgium paper Het Nieuwsblad has managed to interview the player’s father on the situation, who has had the following to say:
“There have been no talks between the two clubs that we’re aware of. We’re also not thinking about whether a move would be a good thing or not. As of right now, Divock is staying at Lille for the next six months, and there have been no communications that suggest otherwise.”
