Speaking at his unveiling press conference in São Paulo for his new club, Marseille central defender Dória, who has just joined the Brazilian side on loan, spoke about his troubles integrating into the first team and boss Marcelo Bielsa.
“Sometimes I came in from training with my head down. I was said to only play for Marseille’s reserves. The fans, the president and several players asked that I play with the first team. I began to ask myself if I still knew how to play football… Marcelo Bielsa was against the fact that he had not be consulted about my transfer. I think it was an off the field problem between the president and the manager. The coach therefore proved that he didn’t really need me. He did not talk to me anyway. I only every spoke with his staff. He even went so far as to field players in my position who did not play there. So, I don’t want to talk about him…”
