EXCLUSIVE: Christophe Mongai discusses the futures of Jordan Amavi & Loïck Landre

Football agent Christophe Mongai of USM Mongai talked to Get French Football News on the record about the futures of two of his clients, OGC Nice’s Jordan Amavi and RC Lens’s Loïck Landré, who are expected to be heavily courted this summer.

Loïck Landre has one more year left on his contract with Lens. Lens have been relegated in Ligue 2. Will he remain at Lens until the end of his contract? Which clubs have so far shown an interest in the player?

For the moment, the priority is to see what the situation of his club is going to be. For the moment we are still in the dark on that front and we hope like everyone else for the situation to be clarified very soon. We need to speak to Lens and to hear what they have to say. Anyway, Loïck has had a season of great quality and can certainly interest certain Ligue 1 clubs and teams abroad who are looking for a talented central defender.

He is a player who is very strong in the duels, who is quick and who is tactically intelligent. The window is about to open and we will see what presents itself. But the priority remains to speak to Lens first so that we can find the best compromise for all three parties.

Lyon are one of the sides interested in OGC Nice’s Jordan Amavi, will you confirm that? If so, with the amount of clubs supposedly interested in Amavi this summer, do you think he will be playing for Nice next season?

I cannot confirm or deny what you have just said (about Lyon’s interest). Jordan is without a doubt the most talented in France at left-back. In any case, the most promising one. He played 36 league games and scored 4 goals this season. Thanks to Claude Puel and the confidence that Nice have had in him, he has progressed enormously in these last few years. He feels very good at the club, and appreciates the confidence they have in him enormously.

In the market, the left-back position is one which is desired enormously at the moment, and it is obvious that a number of European clubs are following him very closely. After that, I say it again, we need to speak first with Nice with whom he is under contract. It is Nice who will decide what they want to do. We are in discussions and are listening together to what is out there and in no case will we hurt the relationship (between the club and the agent and player). That is never the right solution. Never.
