Exclusive: OGC Nice in pole for Marcel Tisserand

According to sources contacted exclusively by Get French Football News, OGC Nice are in pole for the signing of Marcel Tisserand and have made a loan offer for the Frenchman.

Monaco have however in the meantime formally rejected a loan offer from FC Nantes for the player’s services. Whether or not Tisserand leaves Monaco at the end of pre-season is dependent on AS Monaco but also the player. As the player exclusively told us in late June, he wants certain guarantees with regards to playing time in order to remain at Monaco. If he does not receive these guarantees, he will seek to leave the club.

At the time of writing therefore, AS Monaco has rejected a loan offer from FC Nantes but are considering a loan offer from OGC Nice. Even if the player was keen on joining Nice, it is now up to Monaco, who will take a decision at the end of pre-season training.

Metz, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse are also interested but at the moment, OGC Nice lead the race to sign Marcel Tisserand.
