Get French Football News can reveal that OGC Nice are set for fresh talks with Hatem Ben Arfa’s entourage in the coming days.
Hatem Ben Arfa has failed to find a club to play for between January and the end of this season and following FIFA regulations that barred him from joining Nice in the previous transfer window, the player is still interested to see what OGC Nice might be able to offer him.
Current President Jean Pierre Rivère was the individual most interested in signing the player from a Nice point of view last January and with his position at the head of the club becoming uncertain, talks are necessary in terms of renewed assurances regarding both parties’ commitment to an eventual transfer. The deal is expected to be a one year contract with two consecutive one year extension clauses.
Hatem Ben Arfa has also been approached by Spanish side Granada and his camp will likely wait to see what sort of offers come in during the forthcoming weeks before making a decision to join Nice, this time it would be for real.
