According to Canal +, two individuals are in pole position for the newly-vacated Lille manager job after the departure of Hervé Renard yesterday.
The media outlet claims that club president Michel Seydoux’s priority is Algeria boss Christian Gourcuff. Gourcuff had been rumoured to be on the brink of leaving the African side’s setup because he is disenchanted with it. Several sources are claiming that Renard could be set to take his place at Algeria if he leaves.
The other candidate is a Ligue 1 stalwart Frédéric Antonetti, who has vast experience in the French top flight.
