Despite initial fears from members of the French national team regarding a decision to maintain tomorrow night’s friendly match between England and France, the squad unanimously accepted the call made by the French Football Federation when Didier Deschamps informed the players on Saturday.
This was confirmed by the FFF President Noël Le Graët in an interview today with L’Équipe:
“But, around me, there was no doubt and there is not a single player who feels uneasy about playing this match. The idea was accepted by all.”
Lassana Diarra, who lost his cousin during the Paris terrorist attacks on Friday night, was offered the opportunity to not continue with the national team ahead of their game against England, but he has decided to remain with the squad.
