Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula is closing in on a move to FC Porto.
The Franco-Belgian midfielder had been close to a move to Inter Milan after the Italian side agreed a deal with Marseille, but Imbula could not agree personal terms.
Southampton and Tottenham have in the last days made offers, but it appears that FC Porto have won the race.
According to RMC, the deal is a straight transfer, worth €23m, with €12m being paid upfront and €11m being paid in instalments. According to L’Équipe however, the deal is a loan with an obligatory option to buy and the deal is worth overall €25m.
More undoubtedly to follow today, with the player set to quit Marseille’s pre-season training camp in the next 36 hours for Portugal.
