Bordeaux President Jean Louis Tiraud was less than impressed with Les Girondins’ home defeat to FC Sion in the Europa League last night, and made that clear to the press after the game.
“It is tiring to go through the same thing each match. Sion showed what you need to do when you want to win a match. We showed mush. Are we doubting ourselves? I don’t know… In any case we lack ambition, it seems to me that when we are at home in a game at stake, we indulge ourselves totally. Sadly, it is quite recurring for us, we need to wake up, not capitulate. To qualify in the Europa League is still an aim but we need to start by beating Troyes… Our football is worrying.”
