OGC Nice left-back Jordan Amavi should complete a move to Premier League side Aston Villa this weekend after Les Aiglons announced that they had agreed a deal to sell the French youth international.
The player, barring any last minute hiccups, will join for €11m, with the fee rising to at least €15m. In recent hours, sources close to the player have told Get French Football News that the deal could potentially rise to €18m due to performance related bonuses.
The player is understood to have agreed terms of a 4 or 5 year contract which more than triples his salary. Amavi had initially hoped to move to Lyon or Atletico Madrid this summer, but the former side could not match Aston Villa’s offer and Atletico Madrid had yet to table a bid for the player who was lower down on their shortlist.
Amavi flew into England last night and is expected to complete a medical today.
