GFFN can confirm initial reports from L’Est Republicain that Lossemy Karaboué, of Ligue 2 side Nancy, has agreed a two and a half year provisional contract with Ligue 1 side Caen. However, fee negotiations are still ongoing between the two clubs, with Nancy holding out for a sum of €250,000. Talks were ‘positive’ earlier today according to a source close to Nancy, but nothing has yet to be agreed.
Karaboué earlier told L’Est Republicain: ‘I really want to go to Caen. However, it’s not in my nature to force a move. I think I have always had good conduct. I played while injured last year, I never backed away this season when I found myself on the bench. I must respect the club.’
