Lamine Gassama handed suspended prison sentence

Lorient defender Lamine Gassama has been handed a 2 month suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay a €5000 fine for violent actions towards public officials. 

On the 1st of November last year Gassama was caught driving without an applicable licence. He was summoned to the police station ten days later. He failed to get his papers in order and instead went about verbally attacking the police officers in question. 

Gassama has also been instructed to pay an extra €2500 in damages to the police.
