Former PSG Sporting Director Leonardo is suing the French Football Federation for almost €9m for damaging his reputation after banning him for over a year for pushing a referee in the tunnel during a match.
“Moral damage to his image and reputation” is the phrase that he used to describe what he was suing the FFF for.
The exact amount, €8,514,952, will be studied by the FFF to see if they feel the amount is reasonable or not.
Jean Lapeyre, the legal director of the FFF, had the following to say: “If one considers that the amount is reasonable, we can settle things amicably. If this is not the case, it will be up to the courts to say what would be a reasonable amount.”
