According to our colleague and freelance journalist David Thomas, FC Lorient have today outbid Rennes for Ghanaian attacker Majeed Waris.
Trabzonspor had accepted an offer from Rennes last night, before Lorient made a better offer today which has seen the Turkish side pull out of a deal with Rennes.
Majeed Waris is understood to prefer a move to Rennes. Talks will undoubtedly continue in the Brittany battle.
