Manchester United would like to switch Falcao for Cavani in the summer

According to today’s edition of L’Équipe, Manchester United representatives’ Plan A for the summer transfer window is to sign Edinson Cavani from PSG and allow Falcao to move on elsewhere.

This is due partly down to the Falcao’s inability to impress in the Premier League thus far, but also because Manchester United have been closely watching PSG’s Edinson Cavani for around two years now.

While PSG would likely make an deal extremely difficult for the Red Devils, with figures of at least €40m set to be asked for the Uruguayan this summer. They have been handed a boost however with the fact that L’Équipe affirms after a major deterioration in terms of relationship between the two, it is very unlikely that both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani will be at the club in 2015/16.
