According to today’s edition of L’Équipe, Ligue 1 side Marseille are in talks with former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby.
The former Arsenal man underwent a medical with West Brom yesterday but did not sign any deal with the Premier League side. He has had offers from several Premier League teams, but Marseille are now also in the race.
OM, like West Brom, are offering the player a fixed salary, but with sizeable playing fee bonuses.
Abou Diaby’s friendship with Lassana Diarra could be a factor in any transfer, but Marseille in reality will wait to properly pursue Diaby as they focus on Charles Aranguiz.
