In quotes attributed to the AFP, UEFA President Michel Platini has moved to affirm that Financial Fair Play will remain, amid rumours that rules were to be relaxed.
He had the following to say:
“Clubs will have to continue to live within their means. Updates to the rules will be discussed by various committees before being presented to the UEFA executive committee for ratification in Prague on the 29th and 30th June. It is totally natural that the rules be updated: it would be wrong for the rules never to change. The fundamentals will remain in force. Sporting restrictions and financial contributions will therefore not be affected.”
