Mino Raiola on Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Fournier, Matuidi and more

Speaking to Téléfoot, world-renowned agent Mino Raiola discussed a number of topics on TF1’s flagship football show this Sunday morning.

On Lyon manager Hubert Fournier’s criticism of Zlatan Ibrahimovic…

“He is an idiot. Referees are big enough people to be able to defend themselves. I do not think that from his touchline, he always calls the referee “Mr”. I cannot have much respect for someone who says things like that. He should attack Zlatan when they are face to face with each other…”

On Zlatan Ibrahimovic…

“Zlatan is composed, he knows what he wants. He is happy to be in Paris, with the project. But he always wants to improve. He can never be happy with himself. His relationship with Laurent Blanc? He has an extreme amount of respect for him. He is a PSG player. If the manager tells him to go to the right, he will go to the right. His relationship with Cavani? That was important for the press. In reality, it didn’t exist (tension between the two). Will he finish his career in Paris? I cannot say. He has a contract. He must respect it. After that, we will see what happens. Zlatan is better than Ronaldo and Messi.”

On his own influence…

“Me, an influence? No, I am not one, and I don’t want to be one. It is my players who are strong. Without them, I am nothing.”

On Blaise Matuidi…

“If his heart was not with PSG, he would now be in England. United, City, with greater financial incentives.”

On Paul Pogba…

“He is a winner. The same extreme that Zlatan has. He wants to make his mark on football history and he is already doing that. Not a single player at the age of 21 has shown the world what he can do: lead a team in the palm of his hand. Pogba, he has done it already. His future? He could join any team. If the right time comes this summer, then it will happen. If it is not the right time, he could stay for another year or two. He will beat the transfer record. If there is one Mona Lisa in the world, and she is for sale, it will be a record price.”
