Monaco VP Vadim Vasilyev talks Falcao and summer window plans

Speaking to Nice Matin readers yesterday in a special event, AS Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev confirmed that Manchester United have yet to to decide whether or not they will be taking up the buyout clause in the Falcao loan deal.

On the summer window…

“We cannot do whatever we want with Financial Fair Play because our revenues are quite weak. I promise you we will have a competitive team next season. There will be some departures, but I cannot tell you who at the moment, things can go very quickly in football, like James Rodriguez.”

On Falcao…

“I saw Manchester United representatives last Sunday and they have not yet decided whether or not they will activate the option. It is not his best season but they have kelp the possibility open to them at the end of the season. We are not in any negotiations at the moment, even if some big clubs are interested. The decision belongs to Manchester and then we will discuss with the player in order to find out what he wants. I would like for the situation to be clearer.”

On Fabinho and Wallace…

“I am not going to go into the details but I am happy with how they have been playing and we will do everything we can to make them join permanently.”
