Speaking to France Bleu, Southampton central midfielder and French international Morgan Schneiderlin has confirmed that he believes his future will be decided very shortly.
He had the following to say:
“Talks are on going and should be completed in the coming days, I hope that it will occur before pre-season begins next week.”
According to sources contacted by Get French Football News last week, Tottenham Hotspur had been rejected as a possible destination by the player after being unconvinced by the project and their continental football status and that Schneiderlin would have “several other options” in the Premier League to choose from. Southampton are asking for €34m for the Frenchman though, so if Tottenham are the only side willing to meet that valuation then the choice is not Schneiderlin’s. More to certainly follow.
