Nimes won’t be relegated from Ligue 2 for match-fixing

Following a decision by the French Football Federation High Court of Appeal, Ligue 2 side Nimes have seen their punishment for match-fixing reduced from automatic relegation from the French second division to an eight point penalty at the start of the 2015/16 season.

This means that Valenciennes, Orleans and AC Ajaccio now face the very real prospect of relegation, with Chateauroux and AC Arles Avignon already down.
