OGC Nice fail in Ben Arfa appeal

According to French media outlet France Football, OGC Nice’s appeal to the Administrative Tribunal of Nice to allow Hatem Ben Arfa to play professional matches for the club has this afternoon been rejected.

Both FIFA and the LFP had come to the decision that, because Ben Arfa had already played ‘official games’ for Newcastle and Hull City this season, playing a competitive game for Nice would be breaking FIFA regulations. Nice appealed the decision to the Administrative Tribunal but, following the rejection, Ben Arfa will have to wait until next season to play for OGC Nice.
