Prince Albert of Monaco and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud caught up with Téléfoot at a charity event in the Principality.
On AS Monaco…
O.G. “Even if they don’t have much experience in the European scene, they beat us in the Emirates Cup at the beginning of the season, so it will be an open game.”
Prince Albert: “I think it will be a good encounter, in a good spirit.”
On Manchester City…
O.G. “We are going there with the ambition to do something. We are going to have learn from lessons during previous matches in previous years with them, especially last year.”
On Arsenal’s objectives…
O.G. “Of course we have to go on a good run to catch up with the first two (Chelsea and Manchester City) and that will be very difficult. Why not try to finish as high as possible?”
On Mathieu Debuchy’s injury…
O.G. “He said to me: “I am fed up” via text, I understand. He is now out for 2 and half, three months and the way he got injured was very nasty. It doesn’t explain my actions against QPR but this type of shoving when there is nothing to play for has dramatic consequences sometimes.”
