Nantes defender Papy Djilobodji has agreed a provisional contract with Spanish side Celta Vigo, but Les Canaris have yet to reach an agreement with the La Liga outfit over a transfer fee.
Speaking to RMC, Djilobodji had the following to say:
“I am not leaving the club in the sh**… I stayed last year because the club could not sign players. I sacrificed myself despite there being clubs (who would’ve taken me). During the transfer window, last summer, I didn’t piss anyone off. I have been at this club for 5-6 years, I have never had a problem with anyone. Everything has been going very well up until now. The President is saying things. I don’t agree with that. There is a club that wants me. They have offered money. I have one year on my contract remaining. If they (Nantes) wanted good money, they should have sold me last year, not this year.”
