Newcastle United’s talks with Manchester City’s Head of Development and former Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira over the vacant managerial position have failed.
The BBC confirms that there were fundamental differences between the two parties when it came to transfer policy and player recruitment. Steve McClaren is expected to be appointed Newcastle’s new manager.
