According to our colleagues at L’Équipe, PSG have initiated talks for the transfer this month of 19 year old Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira, whose contract is out at the end of the season.
The player recently refused a contract extension offer from Manchester United and his arrival might allow the departure of Clement Chantome after all.
The problem for PSG is that Sevilla, as we reported two days ago, have made formal contact over a loan deal for Adrien Rabiot. PSG cannot prevent the Spanish side form signing Rabiot on loan this month because there is a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the capital club on loan until the end of the season without an option to buy.
Only with the arrival of another central midfielder, possibly Pereira, can PSG allow both Chantome and Rabiot to leave.
