PSG President Al Khelaifi has met with Paul Pogba, according to RMC

According to our colleagues at RMC, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi has met with French international and Juventus starlet Paul Pogba over a possible summer move.

The player’s agent, Mino Raiola has very good connections with the club, with Blaise Matuidi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Maxwell and Gregory van der Wiel on his books.

Al Khelaifi has been chasing Paul Pogba for two years now and the Serie A man is PSG’s summer priority.

Al Khelaifi recently met with Paul Pogba in Monaco to reiterate to the player personally his desire to see him in a PSG shirt and that he will do everything he can to sign him. PSG have also formally approached Juventus to confirm their intention to purchase the player.

However, PSG have two main competitors at the time of writing for Pogba, Barcelona and Real Madrid. They have both made formal approaches for the player to Juventus. Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu wants to land a big name ahead of the next presidential elections at the club.

Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane, two of Pogba’s biggest admirers, have been applying the pressure to President Florentino Perez in the meantime.

According to RMC, all three clubs were told that they must pay at least €70m for the player. According to a source close to the player, Pogba is starting to question his future at Juventus, who went on to say “even Juve are giving us the impression that the door is open for a departure”.

More undoubtedly to follow.
