According to L’Équipe, Manchester United full-back Rafael is closing in on a move to Lyon, which could be completed today.
The paper reports that the player is expected in Lyon in the coming hours and could even undergo a medical as early as tomorrow. The deal is believed to be worth around €2m for the Brazilian whose contract expires in 2016. There was severe competition from other European clubs for the player’s signature, so, if Lyon do complete this deal, it will be seen as something of a coup.
