Rémy Cabella: “To win a title with Montpellier is difficult”

In the second article detailing the highlights from Rémy Cabella’s interview with BeIN Sports last night, the Newcastle man looked at his exploits with Montpellier.

On his Ligue 1 title win with Montpellier in 2012:

“Unforgettable, historic. Look what I did the LouLou (Cabella dyed the Montpellier President’s hair the colours of Montpellier upon their title win). A hairdresser did it but I chose the colour. It was a bet we had, and he stuck to it. You have to be crazy to do that but he did it. To win a title with Montpellier is already very difficult and to be champions of France, it was incredible.”

On his future and his transfer saga with Montpellier:

“Yes I hope so in any case (to be a Newcastle player next season). At the moment, that I am 100% there. I have signed a contract. It was difficult for Loulou (Montpellier President) to sell me because he was asking for a certain price and in France there was not a single club who offered what he asked for. Newcastle interested me and it was the club that wanted me no matter what the price. It was the only club that offered what Loulou was asking for.”
