Robert Beric out for 6 months

St Étienne striker Robert Beric is out for around 6 months after suffering an injury in last night’s Loire valley derby between Lyon and St Étienne.

Beric was rushed to hospital after an unruly challenge from Lyon’s Jordan Ferri caused the player to have ruptured the cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Les Verts outright blamed Ferri in a press release this morning for the “inappropriate” challenge and claim that Beric will not play again this season. A huge blow for St Étienne.
