Sao Paulo vice-president Ataíde Gil Guerreiro has confirmed that the Brazilian side are awaiting a response from Marseille after another offer was made for young central defender Dória.
Guerreiro had the following to say:
“We want a player of the highest level, we have always been interested in Doria. We made an offer, but Marseille didn’t want to loan him. The club asked us for €8.7m to sell him. We have persevered, we have spoken with his agents and we have made a new offer. The window is closed since Monday evening in Europe and Sao Paulo continues to be interested. We have not yet received a definitive answer, but our offer has been sent there. We are fighting to bring him back.”
