Speaking to Eurosport, St Étienne representative Bernard Caïazzo quashed rumours linking manager Christophe Galtier with Newcastle.
He had the following to say:
“You really think that Galtier in the middle of a season in which he plays for the Ligue 1 podium would leave like a thief for a club like Newcastle? It would be insulting to Christophe that one has the slightest interest in such a rumour. Christophe is not a money man. He has been here for years and is engaged in this project. The rumours about him, such as those concerning Ruffier and Perrin is purely hype, nothing more.”
