Thibaut Courtois thinks Kurt Zouma can become the best in the world

Speaking to our colleagues at RMC, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was asked a number of questions ahead of PSG’s crucial Champions League second leg tie with Chelsea.

On tomorrow’s game…

“We will need to defend well, but we cannot try for a 0-0 because if we concede one goal it is PSG who win 1-0. We are playing at home after having drawn 1-1 away. We are very slightly favourites, but with the team that PSG have, it will be difficult.”

On Chelsea’s progression…

“With the transfers of Costa and Fabregas, the team has improved. Technically, we are maybe stronger.”

On PSG…

“PSG have an impressive attack, good central midfielders, solid defenders and a good goalkeeper. They can make it to the final.”

On Zlatan Ibrahimovic…

“I am not scared. He is a great striker. He is difficult to stop. But we will have to do it if we are to go through.”

On Kurt Zouma…

“Zouma has a lot of talent. I think that he can become one of the best defenders in the world if he continues like this.”

On Eden Hazard…

“Eden is not at the same level as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They are above him. But he has the potential to be a future Ballon D’Or winner.”
