Mathieu Valbuena announced while appearing on Téléfoot that he is not concerned over losing his place in the French national team.
Since leaving Olympique de Marseille for Dynamo Moscow last summer, the 30 year old has become an somewhat of an ambassador for the Russian National Football League in France. This status could enable him to interest more Ligue 1 players coming towards the end of their careers to move to the Russian league, namely André-Pierre Gignac and Steve Mandanda. He commented that they have called him asking him how he finds the life and football that he now is accustomed to but he does not expect any move in the very near future.
Currently Gignac has not extended his contract, which ends in June, and Steve Mandanda is bound to Marseille until June 2016.
