West Ham weighing up Distin move

Despite claims and apparent confirmation from his son over social media that West Ham United chairman David Sullivan is in France to conduct transfer business, The Daily Mail believe that Sylvain Distin is a more realistic option for the Hammers and that a move is very much on the cards.

Manager Sam Allardyce is looking for defenders with three injuries in his back line and spoke yesterday about bringing someone in on a short term deal. The Mail believe that Distin would be available from Everton for free on an 18 month deal or for shorter terms if they wished.

Sky Sports have now confirmed interest from West Ham.

This could be one to watch for the remainder of the day.
