Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has admitted that it would be hard to keep midfielder Bakary Sako at the club if an offer from a Premier League club came in.
The former St Étienne man has been in great form for Wolves so far this season, being a key member of the side’s push for the playoff spots. Jackett is still hoping the player can be kept at the club for this window at least, however
“We’ve been open with the player about possibilities and, in particular, Premier League possibilities. I try to be as honest as I can with the player about the situation. That’s helped us because his form has been good.”
“His ambition is the Premier League – so is ours – but as and when something comes of that sort of level, we’ll deal with it then. But, personally, do I hope it doesn’t happen? Yes, I do.”
