Zenit St Petersburg’s director Maxim Mitrofanov has confirmed to TASS that he has held talks with Monaco over the possible transfer of João Moutinho.
He had the following to say:
“I was pleased to meet my old friend Vasilyev over Moutinho. He is a great player who is important for Monaco. Nevertheless, their Champions League elimination changes the situation over there, even if they do not want to have a large upheaval of their squad.”
