Arsenal jump ahead in the race for Monaco starlet

According to L’Équipe, Arsenal have jumped ahead of a host of world class European outfits in the race for Monaco’s 17 year old attacker Kylian Mbappe.

The 17 year old will see the rest of the season out with ASM, despite failing to agree a contract extension with the Ligue 1 outfit at the time of writing. Mbappe will be free to leave the club at the end of the season should Monaco fail to convince him to sign a contract extension.

The player is being tracked by Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG and Liverpool, but the project which interests the player the most is that of Arsenal, according to the report.

Arsenal’s France scout Gilles Grimandi was present to watch the player in the recent Coupe de France game last week between Monaco and Evian.
