According to a source contacted by L’Équipe, Chelsea’s young attacker Bertrand Traoré is very interested in a possible loan move to Marseille until the end of the season.
The source contacted by the French newspaper had the following to say on the situation:
“He wants to do the next 5 months with Marseille. He would have a good environment, playing time. The two clubs need to come to an agreement. We hope that this will occur in the coming hours.”
However, local sources close to the Marseille club are less confident about an eventual deal being put in place.
According to Mediafoot Marseille, while Bertrand Traoré is very interested in a move to Marseille, a viewpoint that he made OM indirectly aware of through his brother Alain Traoré at the end of last week when OM’s interest in his services first became clear, 8 European sides have positioned themselves for the player by contacting Chelsea.
Marseille are notably dealing with exceptional competition from Dortmund, who are pushing hard to sign the player on an 18 month loan deal.
This will be a tough battle for Marseille to win, especially as it is rumoured that Chelsea would prefer for the player to remain in England…
