Caen President Jean-François Fortin has told BeIN Sports that he would be willing to consider offers for Andy Delort in the final day of the January transfer window, which is a big change in policy from the previous claims that the player was absolutely not for sale.
Fortin had the following to say:
“If a good offer for Delort comes in tomorrow, for his career and that the Stade Malherbe receive a financial proposition that it finds acceptable, then I would have discussions, without knowing the conclusion. But I would discuss it. The career of a player is so shirt that if he can elevate his level and local to play in European matches, then I have to take that into consideration.”
Fortin also confirmed that they were in advanced discussions to bring in a striker before the window closes.
