According to our colleagues at L’Équipe, PSG’s Argentinian attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi is edging ever closer to a move to Chinese football this evening.
Lavezzi has been convinced to join Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, on a contract that will see him earn €10m a year net.
However, nothing is yet done as Shanghai Shenhua have yet to make a formal offer to PSG for the player’s services. The Chinese transfer window closes on the 26th of February.
A fee agreement could be reached for between €5m and €10m, according to the report.
It is understood that Ezequiel Lavezzi has been convinced that he has a better chance of making Argentina’s Copa America squad by playing matches in China rather than sitting on PSG’s bench for the rest of the season.
