French Interior Minister bans the sale of alcohol in “sensitive areas”

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has announced a ban on the sale of alcohol in areas which the French government considers to be “sensitive” vis-à-vis EURO 2016.

This definition is expected to be applied to stadiums, fan zones and any public places where there is potential for large groups of fans to gather.

The ban will come into effect within the next 24 hours.
