Garbage-men strike threatening Portugal vs Iceland

According to our colleagues at RMC, a garbage men strike is threatening the first EURO 2016 fixture in St Étienne next week Tuesday between Iceland and Portugal.

The Mayor in question has made contact with the Lyon Administrative Court.

After a week-long strike of garbage-men collectors, the mayor of Saint-Etienne, Gaël Perdriau (LR), is considering all options, including that of administrative justice, as in potentially taking these civil servants, the garbage collectors to court, in order to prevent the garbage from spilling over in his city whilst it plays a part in hosting EURO 2016.

This is a developing situation, more undoubtedly to follow.
