AC Milan attacker and Frenchman Jérémy Ménez has revealed in an interview with L’Équipe that he is desperately running out of belief that he can ever have a future in the French national team again.
The former PSG man had the following to say on his national team chances:
“I am only 28. But it is no longer a motor in my career like at the time when I was regularly called up. When you are not called up for a certain amount of time, eventually you stop thinking about it.”
Ménez also spoke on his future with AC Milan, having only one year left on his contract after the end of this current campaign:
“We will see. For the moment, I have not thought about it. Personally, I feel good here. We will have to get around a table with the [club] representatives… There were some contacts [with China] but I preferred to finish my season with AC Milan and to heal up here.”
