Jocelyn Gourvennec was officially presented to the media as Bordeaux manager following his appointment from Guingamp, where he spent six years as boss.
Gourvennec spoke about how he’s “very pleased in the confidence shown in him” by the Bordeaux board, with Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud sitting beside him.
The former Guingamp manager continued to speak about how grateful he was to be at such a big club, and spoke of his desire and aspiration to take Bordeaux back to the “top of the table”.
“I know the group, in general, I know the whole of the workforce.” Gourvennec also spoke about how he is looking to potentially bringing in some of his backroom staff from Guingamp.
Jean-Louis Triaud said that he was “seduced” by Gourvennec, and spoke of his appreciation of the style Gourvennec plays, before Gourvennec spoke about his assistants who will be joining him at Bordeaux.
“I am going with Eric and Kevin Blahic Plantet, who will be in charge of individual work in relation to both Eric (Blahic and Bedouet).”
