Lorient talks for Lindsay Rose talks continue

According to L’Équipe, talks between Lorient and Lyon for the transfer of young central defender Lindsay Rose are ongoing.

Initially, Lorient were looking for a loan deal, then they were looking to buy the player outright and now they are back to a loan deal with an option to buy,

The sticking point in the negotiations currently revolves around that option to buy amount.

Lyon were looking for a €2.2m buy option, but are now happy to go down to €1.8m, which is roughly what Les Merlus are offering at the time of writing.

The other problem concerning the buy option is that Lorient want it to be activated automatically depending on a certain number of appearances that Rose makes whereas OL want it activated as soon as it is confirmed that Lorient are not relegated this to Ligue 2 this season.

If the situation does not rapidly evolve, Lorient will look to Portugal and French defender Willy Boly, who currently plies his trade with Braga.
