Lyon agree to discuss building a taxi rank at the OL Parc to prevent protest action

In an official statement, Ligue 1 side Lyon have confirmed that they have agreed to hold discussions about creating a taxi rank at heart of their new Parc OL stadium complex in a bid to prevent planned protest action from taxi drivers next weekend to prevent individuals from travelling to Lyon’s Ligue 1 encounter against Bordeaux.

Lyon met with individuals including Alain Audouard, President of the home of taxis in the Rhône area and Pascal Wilder, the President of the federation for independent taxis in the 69 region.

The taxi drivers had initially planned to target Lyon and their stadium next week after it emerged that OL were in talks with Über about a possible partnership.

OL have confirmed that they have now ended their talks with Über as a result of their discussions this morning with key individuals in the taxi sector.
